Wilmore Explorers Day Camp - 1st - 3rd Graders - June 16th - 20th

(must have just completed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade)

  • A summer adventure designed just for young explorers!

    Explorers Day Camp is a dynamic and engaging Summer Day Camp for kids who have just completed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade. From Monday to Friday, campers will embark on exciting outdoor adventures, engage in hands-on activities, and build lasting friendships in a fun and supportive environment.

    Each day is packed with opportunities to explore, discover, and grow—whether through nature hikes, creative challenges, or team-building games. We also take local field trips to amazing outdoor destinations like Sally Brown Nature Preserve and Jessamine Creek Gorge, ensuring campers experience real adventure beyond the Basecamp!

    If your child is ready for an unforgettable summer of learning, laughter, and outdoor exploration, Explorers Day Camp is the perfect place to start their adventure!

  • Water is provided. However, campers must provide their own lunch and snacks due to allergy concerns.

    Students will be very active during camp, so we suggest they bring nutritious lunches they’ll enjoy eating.

  • $250

    A limited number of partial scholarships are available.

Wilmore Jr. Adventure Camp - 4th - 5th Graders - May 26th - 30th

(must have just completed 4th or 5th grade)

    Jr. Adventure Day Camp is an action-packed Summer Day Camp designed for kids who have just completed 4th or 5th grade. Based out of the AdventureServe Basecamp, this camp is all about exploring the great outdoors, strengthening faith, and building confidence through adventure.

    From Monday to Friday, campers will take on exciting outdoor challenges, develop essential adventure skills, and grow in their walk with God through daily devotionals and faith-centered discussions. Each day brings a new adventure, with field trips to incredible destinations—sometimes up to an hour away—where campers will hike, cave, climb, paddle, and explore God’s creation in stunning natural settings.

    If your child is ready for real adventure, hands-on learning, and spiritual growth, Jr. Adventure Day Camp is the perfect way to experience an unforgettable summer of faith, fun, and exploration!

Somerset Jr. Adventure Camp - 4th - 5th Graders - June 23rd -27th

Wilmore Sr. Adventure Camp - 6th - 8th Graders - June 2nd - 6th

(must have just completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade)

  • Based out of the AdventureServe Basecamp, Sr. Adventure Day Camp is an engaging Summer Day Camp designed specifically for 6th - 8th graders. (must have just completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade)

    Join us Monday - Friday for a fun-filled, adventure-packed experience crafted to inspire Students through exciting activities. Each session is designed to help participants develop outdoor adventure skills, build lasting friendships, and create unforgettable memories.

    Please note that we do take field trips each day to do the adventure activities, sometimes up to an hour away.

Summer Day Camp FAQ’s

Q: What is included in the cost?

A: The cost covers all five days of programming, including all necessary gear and supplies for activities. There are no additional fees beyond the initial registration cost.

Q: Do I need to send my child with any gear or supplies?

A: We provide all specialized gear needed for activities. However, depending on the day’s activity, we may ask your child to wear specific shoes or clothing (e.g., closed-toe shoes for hiking). We also recommend sending a refillable water bottle; we will provide water and cups throughout the day.

Q: What activities will my child get to do?

A: Your child will enjoy a variety of outdoor adventures, including games, climbing, hiking, caving, and canoeing. Each day will have a unique focus and will incorporate elements of learning, teamwork, and spiritual development.

Q: Will any food be provided?

A: While we provide water throughout the experience, we do not supply snacks or lunch due to allergy considerations. Please send your child with a packed lunch and snacks each day

Q: Where do I drop off and pick up my kid?

A: For Wilmore-based camps, Dropoffs and Pickups will be at the AdventureServe Campus, 711 E Main St. Wilmore KY 40390. Please arrive on time to ensure a smooth dismissal process.

Q: What is the student-to-staff ratio?

A: We maintain a low student-to-staff ratio to ensure personalized attention, safety, and high-quality instruction. Typically, there is one staff member for every five to seven students.

Q: Is before or after-care available?

A: late pick-up is available until 5:30 pm for an additional cost of $20 per day.

Q: What safety measures are in place?

A: The safety of your child is our top priority. All staff are trained in CPR and Wilderness First Aid, and activities are conducted with proper equipment and supervision. Risk assessments are completed for each activity to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Q: What if my child cannot attend one of the program days?

A: If your child is unable to attend a scheduled day, please notify us as soon as possible. While we cannot offer refunds for missed days, we’ll ensure they are caught up on for the next session.

Q: Who will be leading the camp?

A: The program is overseen by our Wilderness Adventure Program Manager, Elizabeth Bennett. Our trained Summer Staff will lead daily activities, and all staff members are proficient in climbing, canoeing, caving, hiking, and environmental education. On some days, additional full-time AdventureServe staff may assist.


Q: What happens in case of bad weather?

A: Our programs will run rain or shine. However, if severe weather arises, we have backup plans to adjust activities as needed while ensuring safety and fun.


Q: Are the camp age ranges flexible?

Q: How do I register my child for the program?

A: Registration is simple and can be completed online through our website or by contacting our office directly. Spaces are limited, so we encourage early registration to secure your child’s spot.
